Description
To mark World Oceans Day, the EU Pavilion will host a special screening of three short videos that showcase the EU’s global environmental diplomacy and citizen engagement efforts to protect our oceans.
The screening includes:
- #EUBeachCleanup wrap-up video: A dynamic overview of beach clean-up initiatives carried out by EU Delegations and European Commission Representations in 2024, under the global #EUBeachCleanup campaign organised by DG MARE and the EEAS, in partnership with the UN and The Smurfs.
- "Why Green Diplomacy Matters": A 60-second explainer by the EU’s Special Envoy for Climate, Anthony Agotha.
- #ForOurPlanet campaign launch video: Highlighting the EU’s global campaign led by DG ENV and the EEAS, encouraging climate action and nature protection. This year’s theme focuses on Circular Economy, a critical approach to reducing ocean pollution through reuse and sustainable consumption.
Join us to discover how EU diplomacy, global cooperation, and everyday action can contribute to healthier oceans.
