Description
The EU Pavilion is proud to host a high-level seminar on the future of sustainable and competitive agriculture, in the presence of EU Commissioner for Agriculture and Food, Mr Hansen, and Japanese government representatives.
This public event will gather over 300 participants, including Japanese officials, EU High-Level Mission (HLM) delegates, guests, and the public. Two panel discussions will spotlight the opportunities for EU-Japan collaboration in sustainable agri-food systems, innovation, and excellence in food production.

- 14:00 – 14:30 Welcome address by Mr. Hansen, EU Commissioner for Agriculture and Food, and a representative of Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF)

- Panel 1: Sustainability and innovation in the Farming and Food Sector; Insights on EU sustainable agriculture practices and opportunities for EU-Japan trade and cooperation
- Panel 2: Excellence of European food and beverages; A discussion on safety, quality, authenticity, and the perception of EU organic products and Geographical Indications (GI) in Japan
